You can set the days of the week and the opening hours for a location based on the actual opening times of a store or a restaurant, for example. Remember to also select the correct time zone.

When you set the opening hours and active days for a survey, any feedback collected outside of those hours is left out from reports to improve data quality.  This helps to avoid accidental or irrelevant feedback (for example when cleaning).

Setting the opening times is especially important for Smiley Touch as it goes into a sleep mode outside the opening hours, giving the hardware gets a cooling-down period and saving energy. For more information, read  Sleep mode for Smiley Touch.

Change the opening times for a survey

  1. Go to Admin > Surveys, and click the survey you want to edit.  
  2. Click the settings icon (settings.PNG) next to the experience point that you want to edit. 
  3. Adjust the settings and select Save.

Set the default settings for an experience point

  1. >Go to Admin > Experience points, search for the experience point, and expand it.
  2. Select Settings
  3. Under Default survey settings, edit the opening hours and active days of the week.
 Note: If you update the setting for a Smiley Touch survey, it may take up to an hour to update. If you want to take the new settings into use immediately, you can manually sync the Smiley Touch.
