If a respondent does not want to give a follow-up or open feedback, the Smiley Touch screen will automatically change to the next screen after a few seconds.
The default navigation speed depends on how many follow-up options the survey has:
- 2-4 follow-up options: 8 seconds
- 5 follow-up options: 10 seconds
- 6 follow-up options: 12 seconds
You can also adjust the speed for each experience point separately. The available options are Extra slow (4 times slower than the default speed), Slow (1.66 times slower than the default speed), Default, and Fast (2 times faster than the default speed).
For example, if the default speed is 8.0 seconds, the screen would be displayed as follows:
- Fast: 8.0 x 0.5 = 4 seconds
- Slow: 8.0 x 1.666 = 13,3 seconds
- Extra slow: 8.0 x 4.0 = 32 seconds
We recommend choosing a slower speed if the average respondent may need a longer time to give feedback, for example, in a hospital or an old people's home. A faster speed, on the other hand, is recommended for busy areas like airports, where a quicker survey helps you get more feedback.
To change the navigation speed for an existing survey:
- Go to Admin > Surveys and find the correct survey and experience point.
- Next to the experience point, select the Settings icon (
).
- Adjust the Smiley Touch UI navigation speed.
- Select Save.
- Do this to all experience points where you want to adjust the speed.
You can also change the default experience point settings if you want to have a specific UI speed in all surveys created to that experience point.
