  • New open feedback AI category: Urgent. It will be given to open feedback items that are time-critical, have potential for concrete action, or are otherwise high in relevance or severity. For more information, read Open feedback categories.

  • You can now edit the question on the open feedback screen on Smiley Touch and Smiley Digital.

April

  • It is now possible to show privacy notice when collecting open feedback.
  • We've added a new open feedback category, Appreciation, which is applied to positive open feedback items. For more information, read Open feedback categories.

  • Small changes to exports:

  • Some changes to the field names in Results data (Excel), Contact requests (Excel), and Follow-ups and open feedback (Excel) to make them consistent with other Analytics reports. If you are using these exports in automated reports you may need to update them due to the change in field names.

  • You can now set a 10 second "cool down period" for Smiley Touch between feedback givers. This can prevent misuse by forcing the feedback giver to wait for 10 seconds before they can give feedback again.

November

  • NEW FEATURE: We've launched HappyOrNot API v2, which is on the Open API standard and has the following new features:
    • Data structures that intuitively suit BI applications.
    • Improved access and feature control​, where tokens can be restricted by time, organization hierarchy and feature visibility.
    • New data formats  (.csv and .json)
    • Support for all HappyOrNot features and the data they provide​, including demographics and contact request.
  • You can now temporarily disable the QR code for a survey, or generate a completely new QR code for it. 
  • You can now have a different redirect page after negative and positive feedback when using Smiley Digital or QR code surveys.

  • NEW FEATURE: If you have  the Professional package, you can now add a second follow-up question to your survey.

  • You can now export the charts from the Demographics widget as images. For more information read Export your results.

  • NEW FEATURE: HappyOrNot Analytics now supports single sign-on (SSO). For more information, read Set up single sign-on (SSO).
  • Access to QR codes has been limited so that only Admin users are able to export a QR code for a Smileys product.
  • NEW FEATURE: Smiley Touch and Smiley Digital now support 5-scale surveys and Average index. For more information, read Feedback scales and Performance indexes.
  • To prevent ghost feedback caused by email software spam filters when using Smiley Digital Embed Email, we have changed the functionality so that when the feedback giver clicks a smiley in an email, their feedback will not be automatically recorded anymore, and instead, they are redirected to a survey on another page, where they have to choose the smiley again.
  • NEW FEATURE: It is now possible to ask feedback givers for their contact details when using Smiley Touch, Smiley Digital, or QR codes. For more information, read Collect contact info in surveys.

February

  • Custom follow-up options have been changed so that they are survey-specific rather than shared between all surveys in the organization. This prevents accidentally changing other surveys when editing follow-up options. For more information, read Why are my follow-up options no longer shared between surveys?
  • NEW FEATURE: With the demographics data collection enabled, you can get deeper insights into the feedback collected with Smiley Touch, by matching it with estimated data about the age and gender of the feedback giver. For more information, read Connect feedback data with demographic data and Demographics FAQ.

  • The Results data Excel export has been updated with the following changes:
    • Added new field “Feedback scale” 
    • “Index” has been renamed to “Happy Index” 
    • “Green %” has been renamed to “Positive %” 
    • “Reds %” has been removed

  • Feedback data export has been updated so that it now also includes all open feedback and a new field that indicates if the feedback has been labeled as spam.

  • NEW FEATURE: With Foresights you can subscribe to push notifications in HappyOrNot Analytics about the good and bad days in your performance. Foresights takes the accumulated data on past best and worst performing sites, weekdays, and times, and the reasons behind that performance, to give you predictions on how your performance might be in the future.   • The Smileys listing in Admin can now be filtered based on the type of Smileys product.

  • NEW FEATURE: Web surveys can now be used to redirect the feedback giver to another webpage (for example a contact page or discount code as a thank you for leaving feedback)  after finishing the survey. For more information, read Set up redirect page.

  • The full CSV export now includes information about what kind of Smileys product has been used to collect individual feedback. You can, for example, use it to find out if feedback has been giving with a physical product or a QR code. For more information, read How to make Feedback data (CSV) export.
  • Due to popular demand, we have brought back the Excel export feature.

  • The old Survey plan has been replaced with the new Surveys tool. For more information, read Create a new survey

  • New features added to Surveys beta
    • We've made the survey creation dialogue more intuitive based on your comments
    • Experience point search has been added on the details view
    • You can now edit and delete surveys in the survey summary view
