This article explains how to do a hard reset on Smiley Terminal Stand V3. For other models, refer to How to hard reset Smiley Terminal Wall, How to hard reset the Smiley Terminal version 1, or How to hard reset the Smiley Terminal version 2.
For more information, read How to identify the version of a HappyOrNot Smiley Terminal.
A hard reset may be needed if the Smiley Terminal stops communicating and a soft reset doesn't restart the communication. A hard reset restores the Smiley Terminal back to factory settings, which means that any feedback the Smiley Terminal has collected but not sent to the HappyOrNot Analytics will be lost.
- Use a screwdriver or a similar tool to open the latches at the bottom of the Smiley Terminal
- Press down the reset button (marked with the text 'RESET') and the rightmost Smiley button.
- Release first the reset button, wait until you hear a beep and then release the rightmost Smiley button.
The Smiley Terminal will now search for a signal (red light blinking) until it regains connection (another beep).
