You can only edit the questions and follow-ups of a survey if you are an admin and have access to all the experience points linked to the survey.

We do not recommend changing the question for a survey that has already started because it can affect the results. Instead, we recommend that you end the current survey and create a new survey that starts after the old one ends. You can, however, change the question for a future survey that has not yet started.

  1. Go to Admin > Surveys, and click the survey you want to edit.
  2. Select Edit at the top of the page and make the changes to the question, follow-up options, or follow-up page header. To remove a follow-up option, click its name and select Deselect. To replace it, select Change and choose a new one. Remember to do the same changes to all languages, if needed.

If you remove or change follow-ups for a survey that has already started, or turn them off completely, the old follow-ups will remain visible in the HappyOrNot Analytics for time periods when they were in use.

If the survey uses shared follow-up options, those are no longer supported, which means that you cannot edit them and will need to create new ones if you want to change the text.

Note: If you update a Smiley Touch survey, it may take up to an hour to update on the device. If you want to take the new survey into use immediately, you can manually sync the Smiley Touch.
