Here are some reasons why Smiley Terminal might drain its batteries more quickly:

The Smiley Terminal uses IoT technology

Some of our newer Smiley Terminal products such as Smiley Terminal Mini use IoT technology, which means that they can connect to Analytics more frequently than the non-IoT models. The benefit of this is that feedback data is visible in  HappyOrNot Analytics sooner, but it can also drain the battery more quickly if the network connection is poor.

You can tell if a Smiley Terminal uses IoT if its serial number contains one of the following:  V38, V39, V3B, X38,  X39, or X3B. How to find the serial number of Smiley Terminal.

You have Real-time Collaboration enabled

Smiley Terminal communicates with HappyOrNot Analytics more often when alerts are enabled, which affects the battery life. The battery life of a Smiley Terminal with active alerts is expected to be about 6-12 months.

You're receiving a lot of feedback

If the Smiley Terminal receives a lot of feedback, it may need to use more data to upload the feedback to HappyOrNot Analytics. This will also affect battery life, especially if the network connection is poor.
