If you're for example an Area manager, you can use the Ranking widget to easily follow the top and bottom locations in your own area, quickly identifying the locations that might need attention and locations that can provide examples on how to develop customer satisfaction.

The list show the top and bottom performing location names, their corresponding absolute score (Happy Index/NPS) as well as their changes, compared to the previous time period, for the selected time period. You can select "SHOW MORE" to view the ranking of all locations.

To rank locations, we use a formula that takes into account the score (Happy Index/NPS) of a location and the number of responses collected as well as the average score and average amount of responses across all locations during the given period. The formula is used to compute a value called Ranking Score for each location. Locations are ranked based on this value.

The benefit of this method is that a location with very few responses will have a ranking weighted towards the average across all locations combined.  A location with many responses will have a ranking weighted towards its absolute ranking score. The formula basically gives more "trust" to the Index that is the outcome of a larger amount of responses compared to the result that is resulting from few responses.

If you would like to go deeper into the details of this method, you can find the formula used for computing the ranking score for each location here below.

Locations are ranked based on the calculated Ranking Score for each location j:

RS_j = (WAI * W + I_j * R_j) / (W + R_j)

where
RS_j = ranking score (location j)
WAI = the weighted average index across all locations
W = the weight given to WAI based on the average number of responses across all locations
I_j = index (location j)
R_j = number of responses (location j).
