No light or sound after a button press

  1. Do a soft reset on the Smiley Terminal. Read instructions for how to do a soft reset on Smiley Terminal V1, ​​​​​ V2 ​​​​​​, or V3.
  2. Check that the batteries are correctly installed. If this does not help, change the batteries. Read instructions for how to change the batteries for Smiley Terminal V1V2, or  V3.
  3. This can also be a network signal issue. Move the Smiley Terminal to another spot and do a soft reset (instructions for V1, V2 and V3). If it is still not working, do the same again.

Red light blinking

This is due to a network issue. Move the Smiley Terminal to another location and do a soft reset. If this does not work, try changing the location again.

If you're certain that the location has network connection, you can also try to do a hard reset to re-establish the connection.

IMPORTANT: Doing a hard reset will delete all collected feedback data that has not yet been uploaded to HappyOrNot Analytics.

No data in HappyOrNot Analytics

  1. Check that your survey is set up correctly. For example that the opening times are set up correctly.
  2. Check that the buttons are working (there is a sound and the LED light blinks when a button is pressed). If they are, this means that the Smiley Terminal cannot connect to a network. Move the Smiley Terminal to another spot and do a soft reset (instructions for V1, ​​​​​​​V2 and V3). If it is still not working, do the same again.
